We had a wonderfully relaxing vacation (12 days) at House Engels. Communication leading up to check-in went smoothly, and the key handoff was personal, with clear information about excursions and the like. The hostess is friendly and approachable. The beautifully decorated apartment is on the first floor and features a lovely, spacious sunroom with a beautiful view and plenty of natural light, where you can enjoy breakfast and dinner. In addition, the apartment has a spacious kitchen equipped with all the amenities, a living room, two spacious bedrooms, and a nice rain shower. The apartment is located in a quiet village, and the surrounding area is beautiful, offering wonderful opportunities for walks and bike rides through nature. The village trail is definitely worth a walk. Winterberg is 5 km away, and there are plenty of activities to enjoy there as well. There are also many options for a delicious lunch or dinner. The Hillebachsee is about 3 km from the village of Gronebach; you can relax on the terrace, go water skiing, or enjoy a swim and some sunbathing. We thoroughly enjoyed this vacation and will definitely be back.
